Alyssa (Aly) L. Vandermolen

Biography

Alyssa (Aly) Vandermolen is an Orlando native. She earned her Bachelor of Arts from Covenant College, summa cum laude, where she was a member of the women’s tennis team. She earned her Juris Doctorate, summa cum laude, from University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law in 2022.

Prior to joining the firm, Aly worked as an Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney in Louisville, KY where she prosecuted felony cases. She served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Joseph H. McKinley, Jr. of the Western District of Kentucky. During law school, she was a Symposium Editor for the University of Louisville Law Review.

Aly joined Hall, Schieffelin & Smith, P.A. as an Associate in 2026. Her practice focuses on the defense of healthcare individuals and entities in medical malpractice, premises liability, and other litigation matters. Aly enjoys cheering on the Louisville Cardinals, hiking and reading. She and her family attend Orangewood Church.
